![]() Consequently I haven't been able to enjoy the benefits of the pencil tool and I have yet to see any tutorials that comment on this. ![]() One fellow I watch for example is a wizard at creating animation and illustrations but only uses the pencil tool for creating line art and in my experience pencil lines create a whole lot of depth sorting headaches when trying to later update those lines into discreet colors which is why I resorted to only drawing with the brush tool. I do have Harmony Premium and while there ARE other youtube channels to learn they're not all created equal and furthermore each person has their own perspective on how they go about creating artwork and animation within Harmony. I'm coming in late to this discussion since I missed it at first, but I wanted to chime on how I'd be very interested in seeing anything that you'd care to upload on Toon Boom tutorials. Thanks for giving me your point of view on the idea by the way, I really apreciate that you took the time to do that. I know that I can't build a following exclusively based on FA watchers alone, but it can give me a start if I get a few dozens of people interested in learning the software.Īs for the last point you made, I'm actually teaching Harmony professionnaly to animation students in their final year, So I already have a curriculum ready that just needs to be adapted to a different format of teaching. On the other hand, the resources to learn Harmony are a bit more limited, there's "the Onionskin", "Chluaid", aka Adam Phillips, and all the stuff on the official Toonboom site, which paraphrases their online documentation, but nothing from people who have used the software in a production like environment (at least as far as i know). There are already some youtube channels of animators way more skilled and experienced than me (Toniko Pantoja and Aaron Blaise, just to give you a couple names) to learn that. ![]() I was thinking of something aimed towards teaching the software specifically, and not necessarily the animation principle except when necessary.
